Meet Kate
A Lifelong Grosse Pointer
Kate and her husband, Pat, are lifelong residents of the Grosse Pointes and have strong ties to the community. Kate is a 1990 graduate of Grosse Pointe Public School System, having attended Maire, Pierce, and South. After graduating from South, Kate went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in English from Hillsdale College.
In her professional life, Kate has over 25 years of business experience with a background in Commercial Real Estate Management, Communications, and Marketing. During her tenure at CBRE, Kate was recognized for Excellence in Asset Services.
Valuable Time in the Community
Kate has held volunteer roles with many organizations, chairing various committees for the Sigma Gamma Association and multiple fundraisers for Life Remodeled. Currently, Kate serves on the Grosse Pointe Public School System’s Community Engagement Ad hoc Committee and the Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Spiritual Care Foundation Committee.
Kate’s personable nature enables her to connect with community members and create shared visions among many stakeholders. She believes that communication can bring issues into sharper focus and help resolve existing problems.
Family Life
Kate's husband Pat is also a GPPSS alum, having graduated from Grosse Pointe North in 1988. They have raised their children, Caroline and Patrick, in Grosse Pointe Farms, where both attended and graduated from Brownell and Grosse Pointe South.
This past May, Caroline earned her Master’s Degrees and Patrick earned his Bachelor’s Degree. It is Kate and Pat's hope that their children will one day choose the Grosse Pointe Public School System for their children.
Enjoying Life in the Pointes
Kate and Pat Share their home with their dogs Klein and Brandy. She enjoys entertaining, gardening, traveling, board games, needlepointing, volunteering and making new friends, whether two-legged or four-legged.
